Light passes through its body and softens its outline against leaves.

Its nocturnal call sounds more like an insect or cicada than a frog.

Its green dorsum shows tiny yellow spots visible under good light.

In Colombia it is known from Choco and Cordoba within a broader range extending into Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, and northwestern Ecuador.
